Statistics indicate that the volume of domestic demand for fish wealth in the Kingdom reaches 383 thousand tons annually, 14,865 fishing boats and 30,370 workers work on it.
Statistics also indicate a significant increase in the volume of production for the aquaculture sector, whether marine or inland water production or shrimp production, especially as future investments in aquaculture will exceed 17 billion Saudi riyals until 2030.
