PUBLIC TRANSPORT Dubai

PUBLIC TRANSPORT Dubai
Dubai offers traditional Arabic hospitality coupled with a world-class service industry, while an excellent infrastructure facilitates easy transport around the city.

Dubai Metro
The Dubai Metro's red line ‘World Trade Centre Station’ serves the exhibition centre.

Taxi
Taxis are plentiful and affordable in Dubai and operated by RTA through five companies (denoted by different colour roofs). All RTA taxis are metered at the same rate, with the exception of the 'pink' ladies-only cabs for which there is a small surcharge. To book a taxi from any pick up point of your choice call 04 208 0808 (24hrs, operated in Arabic and English).

At the Exhibition Venue, there are 2 taxi drop-offs: opposite Ibis Hotel and in front of Zabeel Hall entrance. Taxi pick-up point is located opposite Ibis Hotel. Note that at peak periods there will be queues, and a taxi-sharing system is likely to be in operation.

Bus Services
The Public Bus Transport system in the Emirate of Dubai is run by the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA). 504 peak bus schedules are run on 62 bus routes cutting over 168,000 kilometers on a specimen working day. Service volumes are adjusted on Fridays and public holidays in relation to the passenger demand. Around 250,000 passengers travel on the system per day. The bus routes span the whole length and breadth of 4,110 square kilometers area of the Emirate of Dubai.

Abras
About 153 Abras (traditional boats made of wood) transport people across the Dubai Creek seating around 20 passengers each, a convenient and fun way to travel. They transport approximately 17.4 million passengers every year. For yet another option of travel, choose the waterbus system, a collection of comfortable and stylish motor-powered boats stopping at all major tourist attractions along the Dubai Creek and with all different new tourist route.
